I thought I had something absolutely brilliant to write. After sitting here for the last 20 minutes, I have now realized that I don't.
I need a new hobby or something exciting to report on.
In other news, everyone is obsessed with me getting married. I mean everyone (family, co-workers, students, etc).
Today while we were reading scriptures, Zoe told me that I needed to get married like Nephi.
One day… One day….
Maybe I'll find my husband on Amazon. (Oh the gems that 5th graders come up with).

Sometimes
Sometimes I get an urge to post.
Sometimes I actually get on my blog after such an urge and then have nothing to write.
This is one of those times.

Advice from a 5 year old
Dating is hard. It is especially hard when all your guy friends are either dating/married, or are like your big brother. I am really good and friend zoning myself. I guess that's what I get for not being a girly girl and for being into video games and sports.
Dating is also hard when there are not very many people that you know in your area.
My niece really really wants me to get married. I think she is secretly sick of me and wants someone else to play with.
The other night at dinner we were eating homemade waffle love! Greatest thing ever! We are silently eating and enjoying our waffles when Zoe starts offering me dating advice.
She told me I should say…. "Hi, my name is Emily. Are you single? Do you like waffles? If you do, we should go and get one and get to know each other."
She is five! Why is she so good at this already? I decided she is going to be my wingman. "Have you met Emily?"
A dear friend challenged me to go on a date before the next time he sees me. Challenge Accepted!

Things will work out.
Sometimes I feel like giving up. I need to remind myself that things will work out. They might not work out right now at this exact moment, oh how I wish they would, but they will eventually work out. It will be a wonderfully happy thing when they do. Until then I need to enjoy the little things and be happy with what I have.

Conforming….
Two posts in one night? I guess I'm just trying to get back into the blogging world. Maybe I am just falling back into the trend. We all know how much I hate being like everyone else. This Christmas I have found myself conforming more than usual. I may or may not have started posting on Instagram and got a Tumblr account. SAY WHAT!? I'm okay with doing these things, but please kick me when I start using hashtags and abbreviating words.
Now, just because I am writing this post I'm going to write down my New Years Resolutions. I shouldn't have these because I always fail miserably but maybe, just maybe I will be better this year.
1. Drink more water
2. Read more books (I've read two so far this year!)
3. Go to Institute
4. Exercise (Does 'Just Dance' count because I cancelled my gym membership)
5. Be Social (This has been so hard lately, well since I moved out of BYU housing in August. I have no desire to go out and make friends.)
6. Be more Organized
I know I had more written down in my journal but I am too lazy to go and get it. Maybe I should just focus on these six.
Here's to a great 2014. It is going to be MY year!

Hair oh Hair
Every once in awhile I decide that I have more courage than I really do.
Sometimes I find an adorable haircut and color on Pinterest. Sometimes I decide to go and get my hair done like that. It never turns out how I want. Maybe one day I will learn or will take someone with me when I get my hair done. For now, here is to looking like a dork until I find another style/color. Or just deciding that I actually rock it! I'm all for that one.
Not exactly the desired outcome.
